The first trial of basil seed germination. Seeds are places in stone-wool starter cubes. These cubes allow the seeds–once germinated–to maintain a strong root structure. The starter cubes are then placed in the grow tray. The grow tray is filled with tap water 1/4th of the way up the starter cubes. The seeds will germinate in the grow tray. After 5 days, the seeds will be checked for sprouting. The next step is to add nutrients to grow tray and obtain purified water.
